Staff were extremely friendly. And did a fantastic job with my hair. I absolutely will be going back from now on to get my hair cut there.

10/10 service quality, everytime I come here, Bich Nga always gives me a great time. It's a great vibe and I feel like my opinions are taken into thought and not to mention the prices are so cheap! As a viet person I feel that my hair is taken care of the best at Bich Nga!

I've always had a great experience coming here, and the price is very affordable and fair. For women's long hair wash/cut/style, I've been charged $30-35, which is an amazing price in today's time! In other salons, I've paid $60-70 bucks but the haircut isn't even great. Huong always does a great job doing my haircuts. I generally ask for very straightforward style-- trim several inches, long layers, thin out my hair, and the haircuts always come out how I asked. She takes her time with her craft, and asks questions to make sure the haircut is the way I want it. I've also had another hairdresser during a walk in appointment, and she did just as good. The salon itself appears outdated and simple- nothing fancy, but the quality of work here is worth the visit. Other things to know: -PARKING: There's metered street parking right in front of store (during designated hours) or a large parking lot in the back of the plaza. -PAYMENTS: Cash only, Zelle is accepted

Just so no one is confused, Bích Nga is pronounced bik nyah. It's a Sino-Vietnamese term (#1) that denotes a beautiful (nga), blue green gem (bích). The latter is like sapphire/jade (bích ngọc) and has significant meaning overall. Midtown has been home to a lot of very pricey hair salons, but Bích Nga is a nostalgic reminder that this neighborhood was once home to a number of Asian owned businesses. The outside of the shop is frozen in time and the old school charm is undeniable. It's a quiet shop, since they don't play music and not every station is occupied with a stylist. The weekends are usually fairly packed but the waiting area is limited to a few chairs and a couch. Walk-ins are welcome but I always recommend calling ahead of time and setting up an appointment. I still remember when men's haircuts were a cool $10. After a few rounds of pandemic price surges, now it's $15 per cut. Even at $15, it's still a deal compared to the $50 equivalent, which is every men's salon in the immediate vicinity. The owner is Huong, who along with Cam, run this shop. There is no credit card or digital payment accepted here. It's strictly cash only. They've always been consistent with my hair. No frills and a fairly quick cut all things considered. I appreciate the shampoo wash and the friendly service all around. I wouldn't come here to get any serious fades or designs, but a general men's haircut they can handle with ease. Parking is street side only. One can chance it across the street in the dedicated lot, but I can't promise they aren't actively monitoring those spaces. I've always made it work with street parking, especially with late afternoon appointments. __________ (#1) Same as 碧娥, you Sino-heads.
